This is an old argument by today’s standards (or attention spans), but I completely agree. The right answer for old media is to accommodate both the old ways and new ways without subscribing to the idea of “pay walls“. This is already happening for many smart “papers”… even saying “papers” is an outdated, dinosaur of a word.
